Mountain Mixer Cocktail Submission

Submission Deadline

Entries must be submitted by June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM MST through the official PCARA website submission form.

Eligibility

• Only PCARA member establishments in good standing are eligible to enter.
• Each submission must be made by a designated mixologist on behalf of a member establishment.

Submission Requirements

• Cocktail Name
• Full Recipe, including:
  • Exact ingredients and measurements
  • Method of preparation
  • Garnish details
  • Suggested glassware
  Note: Once submitted, the recipe cannot be changed.
• Cocktail Description (1–2 sentence overview of inspiration)
• Cocktail Photo (high-resolution)
• Mixologist Headshot (high-resolution)
• Optional: Short video introducing the cocktail
• All entries must comply with Utah DABS regulations: no more than 2.5 oz of hard liquor per cocktail.

Judging Process

Throughout July 2025, secret judges will visit participating establishments to taste each cocktail anonymously. Based on their evaluations, the top 10 cocktails will be selected to advance to the live competition.

Finalist Announcement

Finalists will be announced on August 1, 2025.

Live Event

The top 10 mixologists will present their cocktails on stage during Mountain Mixer Park City on August 21, 2025.

Finalists will:

• Walk the judges through their inspiration, ingredients, and method
• Prepare three cocktails (one for each judge)
• Present with style and professionalism — creativity encouraged

Usage Rights & Content Release

By submitting an entry to Mountain Mixer Park City, the submitting mixologist and their affiliated establishment grant the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display the submitted materials for promotional and editorial purposes, including but not limited to:

• PCARA websites and digital platforms
• Social media channels
• Print publications and marketing materials
• Press releases and media coverage
• Event signage and promotional displays
• Future promotional efforts related to the contest or the association

This includes all submitted materials, such as:

• Cocktail name and recipe
• Written descriptions
• Mixologist name and likeness
• Headshot photograph
• Cocktail image
• Any optional videos or media submitted with the entry

The submitting party affirms that all submitted materials are original and that they have the full rights or permission to grant usage rights as outlined above. No compensation or further approval will be required for the use of submitted materials in accordance with this release.

Participation Agreement

By submitting an entry, participants agree to:

• Comply with all contest rules
• Be available for judging visits during July
• Attend and present at the live event on August 21, 2025 if selected
